Fortescue Bay Site Design Plans
Fortescue Bay, Tasman National Park, is a popular destination for day visitors and overnight campers. A range of site planning issues had become exacerbated through increasing visitor numbers and anticipation of further growth when the Three Capes Track becomes operational.
Inspiring Place were engaged to prepare site plans to improve the aesthetics and function of the area while providing adequate facilities for user groups.
The plans establish clear and intuitive vehicle circulation, rationalise car parking, plot a coherent trail network, and enhance the user’s experience through well located placement of visitor facilities.
Close cooperation with the Park managers and field staff was at the core of the project.
