Queens Domain Master Plan
Hobart City Council sought to unify a diverse history of singular developments; create distinct, high-quality settings within the rich landscape of the site, and make the Domain accessible in ways that had not been realised.
The master plan creates a framework that is creative yet respectful of the Domain’s values, expansive in scope yet achievable within the life of the plan and comprehensive in a way that will help make one place of the many.
Bold in vision, the plan provides a focus for Council action to address long-held concerns for presentation and appearance, access, circulation, use and activity.
The plan achieved high praise and agreement in Council and the community for its implementation.
