State Indoor Sports Centre Feasibility Study

The feasibility study addresses the need for a new, strategically located indoor sports stadium within the Greater Hobart region. This new stadium has to provide for users across the socio-economic spectrum, cater for a diversity of sporting organisations, be flexible to meet demands for growth in participation and have the capacity to address all levels of competition from junior to elite, or amateur to professional play.

Inspiring Place led a multi-skilled team consisting of M2A Architects and Montemare Consulting. The key stakeholders were Basketball Tasmania, Hobart Chargers Basketball Association, National Fitness Southern Recreation Association and Communities, Sport and Recreation.

The study involved selection and assessment of potential sites, preparation of concept development plans, cost estimates and a business case.
