Non-Winter Nature-Based Tourism – Victorian Alpine Resorts
The project builds on the alpine resorts’ brand values and competitive advantages to deliver quality visitor experiences leading to increased visitation and yield. It involved extensive market research, stakeholder consultation, identification of best-prospect products and presentation of strategies for delivering outstanding market-ready experiences.
The study facilitated coordinated development by the tourism industry through regional growth partnerships and the development of sustainable, competitive visitor experiences. It identified the points of difference that would enable each resort to capitalise on its unique setting and advantages whilst providing a diversity of appeal across all of the Resorts.
The project provided impetus for the development of the Australian Alps National Landscape Tourism Master Plan.
